pWe had an open boat seabass trip for regulars Bob, Horst, Frank and friend and the fishing was good again with catching our limits again to 3 1/2 lbs. A total of 100 fish hit the deck with no ling this time around. With the exception of an impeller issue, the day was very good.

6/15/10

We repeats Horst Bob lou and joe out for a day of seabassing and the fishing was not as good today with the group combining for 75 keeper sea bass up to 3 lbs and no ling. Cant beat em up everyday!

6/18/10

The fishing was a little tougher with some more shorts mixed in but we did manage 50 keepers to 2 1/2 lbs with a basket of pbaseball bat sized ling to spice up the catch
The fishing overall was a little slower as the short to keeper ratio was a little higherbut still a good day by anyones standards

6/22/10

The fishing started out as a pick on smaller fish but a move to another area produced our near limit of seabass to 3 lbs with some ling and tog mixed in. Total for the day was 70 seabass.

6/25/10

We had the mo group out for another day of cbassing and the group put 60 cbass in the cooler up to 5 lbs. in the mix, we had 2 keeper cod and some ling as well.

6/29/10

Fishing remains to be strong with a slightly better average per pound. We had fish to 5 lbs today with the average around 2-2 1/2lbs. We ended the day for the guys with 75 fish to 5lbs.

7/6/2010

We had our first fluke trip and to say the least it was a productive day on fish between 16-19" with 2 fish between 21-22". The guys ended the day with a 35 fish tally. A very nice start to the season and this will only get more intense as the weeks pass.

7/8/10

We decided to try a different area and the move really never panned out the way we intended. The fish have not really set up in there yet but it should bust open within the next week or just after this moon. The guys ended the day 20 fish up to 5lbs with a few real small flatties mixed in.

7/9/10
We had the usual tuesday group out for a day of fluking and the fishing was ok. We ended the day with 28 fish up to 5lbs. Bait and bucktails were used.

7/12/100

We had a bucktail trip that got cut short due to the weather. We really never got the chance to bounce the bucktails the way we should. Conditions deteriated quickly as the rain and wind did not let up.

7/15/10 PM trip

7/21/10

We had the Moody group out for a day of fluking and the fishing was off from the previous trips. We saw both size and quantity off with 25 fish coming to the boat and the largest going 3 1/2 lbs. All in all nice day out with some real good guys. Both bait and bucktails produced fish

7/23/10

We had the Flemming Group out for a day of fluking. We took a ride to a new area in the ocean and when we got there, we were greeted with less than favorable conditions in waybof drifting. Without a drift, fluking was almost non-existant. With not much left of the tide, we decided to wait it out for the start of the ebb. Glad we did as we started to pick and with the tide came some wind. We picked some quality seabass as well as fish in upper 4lb range were boated. Total for the day was 20 fluke to 5.8lbs and and 15 keeper seabass to 4.7 lbs.

7/25/10

We had the Don Smalligo Group out for a day of fluking and had 20-25 fish up to 2 1/2 lbs. We fished the channel area around ambrose.

7/27/10

We had open boat regulars Bob,Horst,John and Alex out for a day of fluking and it seemed that a new body of fish moved in as all their bellies were white and the size improved greatly. Most fish were between 18.5-21 in. The group ended the day with 35 fish up to 3lbs and another 35 smaller fish. We stayed in Ambrose Channel.

7/28/10

We had the Alex Z. Group out for a day of combo fluke and sea bassing. The day was productive from start to finish as the boys managed 30 fluke up to 6.4 lbs and 40 sea bass up to 4 1/2 lbs. Constant action throughout the day with lots of fillets for the table

7/30/10

We Scott and the ESPN Crew out for a day of fluking and what a day it was. The boys managed to land a 6.75lb flattied to take second on the leader board for our 1st annual derby. In additon, 55 fluke were caught with several fish in the 4-5 lb range. Great day all around!

8/3/10

We had Alex, Louie, Horst and Frank out for a day of fluking and another good day was had by all. Many fish in the 3-5lb range with the largest going 7.4 lbs for Alex L. He is now in second place in our derby. Total for the day was 47 fish to 7.4lbs.

8/4/10

We had the Alex group out for a day of fluking and seabassing. As we made our way to the grounds the wind was pretty steady @ 20-25 mph with a decent ground swell. We decided to abandon the seabass idea and concentrate our efforts fluking. The fluking remained dencent on the numbers of fish but the size wasnt as good as the largest was 3 lbs

8/6/10

We had the Mo group out for a day of fluking and it was a grind all day with a total of 34 fish hitting the deck and the largest going around 2 3/4lbs. The moon is approaching and has the fish a little skittish. Overall, enough action to make it worth it.

8/7/10

We had regulars Bob sinker, Alex L., Vinny l and Bob Long out for a day of fluking and the day was slow going with 30 fish and another 6 lost at the boat.

8/8/10
We had Tom, David and son out for a day of fluking and was just terrible fish with only 15 fish and nothing of size. Hopefully the downside of the moon will change some of the fishing.

8/9/10

Wehad the Horst charter out for a day of fluking and again it was just a very slow pick with only 13 fish and a couple of seabass. Tomorrow we will try a totally different area.

8/10/10

We had open boat regulars Alex L.& Friend, John Maher & Eddie out for a day of fluking. The fishing again was a pick as we tried another area to the east. We did see a pair of 6lb fish as a total of 18 fish were boated. With the new moon behind us, we should see an uptick in both quantity and quality.

8/13/10

We had an open boat trip today and the fishing was just bad as the conditions turned sour. We had a shot as the tide changed but with the change of tide came a change in the wind. We ended the day with 21 fish up to 3 lbs.

8/14/10

We had Bob, Bob Long, Joe and friend out for a day of tournament fishing on the Barbara Anne and we placed third with a 6lb fish We fished an area loaded with 17-20in fish and ended the day with 45-50 fish to 6lbs.

8/25/10

Finally after 1 1/2 weeks of being drydocked for cracked mounts, severed bolts on the drivesaver, and a bad cutlass bearing , we were back at again for the Horst Group gor a day of fluking and found tbe worst life of the year as 4 days of east winds really clamped down on the fishing. We worked areas from the channel out to the mud buoy and could not get anything started. Too few fish for the effort.

8/26

We had the Michael P. Family out for a day of seabassing. With the fluke fishing being less than stellar we opted to go sra badsing instead as that proved to be the right move. We fished the mud area for 60 seabass up to 3 1/2 lbs. In addition, there are plenty of fluke in the 17-17.75in range. Perfect for our RSA permit fishing.

9/1/10

We had the Alex group out for a day of seabassing and it was a pick all day with the boys catching 60 cbass to 3 1/2lbs. The best life was in around 40-50ft. Fresh skimmers were the ticket

9/7/10

We had the Timmy group out for a day of bluefishing and what a day it was with iver 100 fish coming to the rails. The fish were on average 8-9lbs with the largest around 13lbs. Real true gorillas. We werent even on anchor set in and we had 3 and 4 fish on. Great fishing and should remain that way for the balnce of the fall.

9/11/10

We had our first 30 mile wreck trip it what a succes it was! We had 80 cbass to 5lbs and 20 codfish to 10 lbs, and ling to 4lbs. We fished in area ranging from 90 ft to 195 ft. All in all a very good day.
