Barbara Anne Charters – 1st Annual Fluke Derby
The summer hunt for trophy fluke has begun for the Barbara Anne, and for the 2010 season we will be having for our customers, our first annual FLUKE DEBRY!
Here are the ground rules for the Fluke Derby:
1- Two exciting separate prizes will be awarded to Barbara Anne customers who catch the largest and 2nd largest fish in weight, during the period of the season that we specifically target fluke.
2- The official weigh in station for this derby will be MICHAELS BAIT & TACKLE, located just across from the marina.
3- Upon weighting up a contending fish on a certified IGFA scale at Michaels Bait & Tackle, the fishermen will obtain a receipt slip with the weight of the fish, date, along with the signature of fishermen and person at Michaels B&T that weighted the fish.
4- The largest and runner up weighted in fluke will then be recorded and kept track daily on board the Barbara Anne for all customers to see on upcoming trips.
5- Customers have the ability to weight in a contending fish from every trip they make with the Barbara Anne during the season.
6- Making multiple trips during the season will give every fishermen, multiple chances to win ONE of the two prizes.
7- No additional fees or extra money has to be spent by a customer to be entered into this fluke derby.
8- Your fare on every trip is your entry fee.
Description of 1st & 2nd Place Fluke Derby Winners:
1st Place – Heaviest in weight fluke for the 2010 season
Will receive a Rodwinder Ultra-Custom wrapped Lamiglas MB 963 M. This particular rod has been the standard for years as one of the must have rods for baiting and jigging for striped bass, inshore sea bass and blackfishing and ocean fluke fishing.
This prize has a value of $700 dollars.
2nd Place – Runner up largest in weight fluke for the 2010 season
2 Barbara Anne Charters open boat fare tickets that can be used at any time or fish we target during the season.
This prize has a value of $300 dollars.
Note:
All participants in the Barbara Anne 2010 Fluke Derby can win only one of the two offered prizes. Though every customer can weight in their largest fish caught from every trip taken with the Barbara Anne during the season, only the largest fish caught by that customer can be entered and used in the final standings. NO CUSTOMER fishing on board Barbara Anne Charters can win both the 1st and 2nd place prize.
